TYPES OF PSYCHO­LOGICAL PROFES­SIONALS

Psychi­atrist - They are the one who specia­lized the diagnosis and treatment of psycho­logical orders.
Psycho­analyst - The one who specia­lized the training of theories of Sigmund Freud.
Psychi­atric Social Worker - The one who focuses on the enviro­nmental condit­ions.
Psycho­logist - They can do counse­ling, teaching and have academic degree and specia­lized training.
 

SENSATION AND PERCEPTION

Sensation - This is the detection of physical energy by our sense organs. e.g: visual, auditory, olfactory, gustatory, tactile
Perception - Where the brains interpret of sensation inform­ation.
Transd­uction - It converts the external energy using our sense receptor.
Multim­odality - Where sensory systems do not always stick to one senses.
 

SENSORY TRESHOLDS

Just Noticeable Difference - The smallest difference between two stimuli.
Absolute Treshold - Smallest amount of energy needed for a person to contin­ously detect a stimulus.
Red - The long wavele­ngths.
Blue - The short wavele­ngths.
Saturation - It refers to the purity of the color that people see.
